11 Surprising Gifts from My Reiki Journey
Or, a list of reasons to start your Reiki journey sooner than later!
When I signed up to learn Reiki, I just knew it was something I had to do, but I couldn’t tell you why. I was along for the ride. The practice keeps unfolding in new, surprising, and sometimes challenging ways. As I continue practicing, studying and joyfully teaching Reiki meditation, I have found the following surprises to be true for my journey. I hope this list inspires your own explorations. Feel free to contribute with what Reiki has gifted you in the comments below.
In no particular order:
Reiki is the love language of the universe. This language is beyond words.
Reiki meditation has supported the journey to finding my still point, my soul, where I am my truest self.
Practicing has allowed me to walk my soul journey with reverence & respect for myself.
In turn, I am still learning, (don’t think I’ll ever be “finished” - it’s a process) of what it means walk respectfully alongside others - people, animals, and nature, on their own soul journeys.
Reiki meditation invites me to find gratitude in almost every situation. I think, there will always be some that will make us all dig very deep (example: almost any current news) to locate the gratitude, but we must try nonetheless.
Reiki meditation is a spiritual practice for growth, healing and freedom. By balancing my personal energy, I have greater physical, mental and spiritual well-being through practice & reflection.
I see light EVERYWHERE. Even in the dark. This is also helping me cope with my actual psychological fear of the dark (work in progress).
Practice is an invitation to see opportunity in every challenge and sit with what is, without judgement. Oof-ta. Not easy - sometimes I forget to sit with the wonderful and work very hard to avoid sitting with the worst. That’s why, it is a practice.
Reiki Love continually reminds me that we are always connected - separateness is an illusion, but I often forget to recognize this. So much suffering happens in that space. All I have to do is step outside and listen to the birds or turn inward and talk to spirit to remember, I am not alone but connected to a brilliant landscape of people, animals, history, nature and spirit that spans time and distance. Wow.
This walk has deepened my personal faith as a Christian woman. Some believe Reiki to be some sort of magic or evil workshop or I don’t even know what. I’d love to chat with you to better understand this perspective if that is your viewpoint. However, every single step of this walk has only led me deeper into loving and respecting creation and God. I will not argue with anyone about that.
