We gather Under the Reiki Tree to remember the threads of love that connect all of us. Many of us are called to be kahus (Hawaiian word for “honored attendant” to animals) and to serve as advocates & stewards of God’s creation. This space explore & nurtures the spiritual aspects of animal guardianship & advocacy.

Hi! I’m Annie. I really enjoy writing about & exploring spiritual faith walks, Reiki meditation, Christian contemplation, reading, caring & advocating for animals and teaching. I teach all kinds of people, mostly elementary students in a public school library and adults about Reiki. The thread through all of these things is Love. I appreciate Reiki meditation so much because it has added such vibrance and comfort to my life that I wanted to create a space to share this with others.
Reiki meditation is the groundwork for our spirits, preparing us to speak the language of animals and nature, the language of energy. It reminds us that we are nature, too.
What is Reiki Meditation?
Reiki (ray-key) translates to “spiritual energy.” To me, this is the energy of God’s unconditional and infinite Love. It is what gives us our power to experience life filled with compassion & service.
Reiki is also a system of healing meditation that welcomes us to step into contemplation, relaxation and restoration. The Usui Reiki Ryoho (Healing Method) has uses meditation techniques such as visualization, breathing and palm healing and all are built on the Five Precepts. These practices calm our minds, invite is to reflect, release and step into the compassion of our truest self. I find that exploring Reiki has only deepened my faith and made the path more vibrant. In a time when we keep trying to separate everything, Reiki practice calls us back, again and again, to remind us how important it is that we remember our intricate and radiant connections with Love & Creation.
I am student of both Usui Reiki Ryoho and The Let Animals Lead® Method of Reiki created by Kathleen Prasad. I enjoy teaching Reiki as a Self-Care Practice (Levels 1 - 3) and am just starting to facilitate classes in the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki. It is a great joy to share the beauty of these practice to deepen our connections with our true selves, God, others and all of creation. With diligent practice, our hearts open to serve others and live our purpose.
So, Then, What is Reiki with Animals?
“Reiki energy is the light & frequency of God’s unconditional love that dwells in all things.
Animal Reiki Meditation supports us in connecting with and cultivating this frequency inside and out. In this space, healing, remembering, clarity, purpose, relaxation, release, ease, joy, gratitude and compassion flow.
We honor animals and nature by inviting them in to our meditations and to bask in the restorative glow of unconditional love with us. Here, all everything is possible.”
Through diligent Reiki practice, we can nurture our inner, spiritual lives and extend that compass into support all animals on their soul journeys. It is a beautiful experience and a true blessing.
